I'm Completely Obsessed!
About a month ago I was doing a search and accidentally landed on this beautiful site called i Heart Organizing. It was so serendipitous! Everyday, I enthusiastically check my Google Reader hoping for a new post; just as my old school hubby eagerly checks our driveway for his newspaper. It's been a while since I've enjoyed a blog so much.
Why I Love It
Jen's blog is not called i Heart Organizing for nothing. This chick not only loves organizing but she has all the making of a top professional organizer. According to her bio she does dream to be one one day but right now enjoys being a stay at home mom. Ok, so lets talk about the site now. The layout is like eye candy to me. I want to click on every single link she has posted. Believe me, if you enjoy organizing you'll want to also. Some of my favorite links are:
The Monthly Challenge is probably my favorite of all. I came into it a little late but enjoy her ideas on how to organize all those common hot spots. You'll also get some great ideas from those who link to her Project Link Party. So, if you want to some easy tips on how to control the clutter in your home check out Miss Jen's lovely site.
Thanks, Jen, for spreading a little bit of joy to the world with your colorful ideas. It's been fun!

More snow has fallen. The driveway and paths are now cleared and we are WHIPPED. Based on what I hear, we will be getting more snow this weekend. I really hope we don't. Don't get me wrong, I like snow just not so much at once. Time for some more hot chocolate.
Have you been hit with a lot of snow too?

"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."
~ Dr. Seuss
Hello, Lovelies! Sorry I've been MIA for a while. Where have I been? I've been busy with another project, focusing more on my family and enjoying the holiday season. As you can imagine, blogging takes up quite a bit of time. And yes, I did create this sanctuary of mine to satisfy my creative hunger but sometimes what was once fun and effortless begins to feel like work. In my case, it started to feel like a job when my kids would ask when I was going to be done with work. Ummm, wait a minute...I thought you're suppose to get paid when you work! You may see some ads on my sidebar but believe me, I don't see any checks in my mailbox. If we depended on blogging for an income we would be homeless right now.
So, what's next? Most bloggers would have this completely thought out and bullet point exactly what to expect. I'm going to be completely honest...I'm not sure. I do know I enjoy this space and interacting with all of you. That's what makes it fun. To me Lilolu is feeling like a teenager in high school. Wanting to be a part of it all but not quite sure where it fits in. For now Lilolu will continue the journey but perhaps at a slower pace. Just until I sort things out.
Earlier I mentioned I've been busy with another project. That project is called Stumbled Upon Savings. It's exactly that...savings I've stumbled upon. I'm an avid coupon clipper and come across MANY great deals. I love to share these deals with my friends. So, I decided to dedicate a site completely to just that.
I've been reading about many wonderful DIY projects and hope to show them to you soon. Upstate NY has been frightfully cold so we've been spending more time indoors. Which is completely fine since all of the faux pine and festive decor is decking the halls. I love Christmas time and all the music that comes along with it.
What have you been up to? Are you completely in holiday season mode? Are there any new crafts or DIY projects you've been busy with? If so, please share.

Every year the Christmas season slowly creeps up then BAM I'm wishing I had a picture ready for Christmas cards. I've often considered just sending New Year cards, but it's just not the same. So, this year I'm planning ahead! It's a little difficult to get into the holiday spirit when I see ghosts and goblins as soon as I step outdoors but I do see Christmas, as I mentioned before, creeping up in stores. Right now there is only one aisle dedicated to our super fabulous heartwarming holiday, in most stores, but it's enough to get me into the spirit.
What to do?? Shall I go with a photo card like most years? Or do I create a family holiday newsletter? Then there is the other question...do I go religious or send out very general cards? Hmmm, decisions, decisions...
Well, the picture part of it should be easy, right? Hey, I'm trying to be positive here, so just go with it. Okay, so right now I have a few top contenders. I really like the folded cards this year and I think I'll add a timeline inside. Like these:
And here are some great 5x5 photo cards:
This is why I need to start my Christmas cards early...I can't ever seems to make up my mind. There are so many wonderful choices out there.
So, what about you? Are you thinking about your holiday cards already?

Hello, all! I hope you're having an awesome day. Today, we have a sick child home again. In school, the viruses are spreading like wildfire already. There have been many great homeopathic remedy posts written by Stephanie, over at Keeper of the Home. So, I think I'll have to go back to those posts I've bookmarked. You should check out her site. I'm sure you will love it as much as I do.
On another note, A few weeks ago I added a new feature to my blog called "Coupon Database". As the shopper of our household, this has been a great tool for me. It has saved me tons of time and money. Just the other day, I got lots of free items by using coupons from the Coupon Database and comparing them with what's on sale. So, feel free to utilize this feature and email me if you have any questions.
How have you been saving this week?

The older children started school last week and Henry had his first day of kindergarten yesterday. The entire summer he was extremely anxious about school. There were times he would run upstairs crying out, "I'm not going to school!" You can just imagine how nervous he made my husband and I. We couldn't help but imagine history's worst first day of school, soon to occur. But it didn't happen that way at all...
I couldn't help but tear up as he walked to the bus stop. He suddenly looked two inches taller and all grown up.
Even Simon realized how important this day was because he walked with us all the way to the bus stop.
Henry, was quite scared but made it on the bus with no problem.
As the bus took off, we could see him waving until the bus turned the corner.
After school, he got off the bus as if he'd been doing this all his life. I'm so proud of his bravery and a little sad, only because they all seem to be growing up so quickly.
How was your child's first day of school?
