Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe With Secret Ingredient

This is my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe.  My kids love it too but they don't know about my secret ingredient.  I try to use organic ingredients whenever possible but don't beat yourself up if their not - I know I won't.  Enjoy!

Organic Chocolate Chip Cookies

• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup light brown sugar
• 3/4 cup margarine or butter softened
• 1 large egg
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 1/2 cups of semisweet chocolate chips
• 1 teaspoon flax seeds (*my secret ingredient)

1. Heat oven to 375°.
2. Mix sugars, margarine egg and vanilla extract in large bowl.  Stir in flour, baking soda, flax seeds and salt (dough will be stiff).  Stir in chocolate chips.
3. Place parchment paper on the cookie sheet.  Then place tablespoon size rounded shapes of dough onto ungreased cookie sheet, keeping them about 2 inches apart. 
4. Bake 8-10 minutes or until light brown.  Let cool slightly then place cookie on a cooling rack.

Music...ah yes...fuel for my soul.  I've been listening to some music that's been touching deep within me.  If it's not the lyrics that inspire me then it's the instrumentals or of course, the vocals.  Anyhow, I want to share what I've been listening to the last couple of months.  I hope you likey.
